In the previous few weeks, we now have received numerous emails about Julia Miller – a health news reporter – who investigated the extra weight loss benefits of the Acai Berry. We have heard so much about the Acai Berry and claims it may enable you to slim down, that individuals were excited to find out that the health news reported had some testing about the supplement. Unfortunately, once we investigated further we found that Julia Miller has not been who she claimed to be.
Some Background around the Acai Berry
The Acai Berry can be a small purple berry that grows within the Amazon Rainforest. The berry grows in bunches high in the Acai Palm tree. The Acai berry carries a very large seed – with just about 10% in the berry edible skin and pulp. While the Acai Berry is small in space, it is large in nutrition – with additional antioxidants than some other fruit. The fact the Acai berry might help increase energy, improve sleep patterns, reduce inflammation, improve the body’s defense mechanism, and aide in digestion is widely accepted. What is considerably more available to debate are the bodyweight loss powers from the Acai berry.
The Acai Berry and Colon Cleanse – A Match Made in Marketing Heaven?
One of the common themes among web sites that promote Acai for weight loss would be to pair it with a colon cleansing. This seems liked an appealing combination therefore we did looking at PubMed for any clinical studies for the mix of Acai as well as a colon cleanse – we didn’t find any studies. It looks like the idea that these two supplements need to be used together is a lot more a matter of marketing than science.
Julia Miller And Her 4 Weeks of Weight Loss
So we were skeptical about weight reduction claims, however, the report we read from Health News 7 sounded so promising. Julia Miller, a senior Health Reporter, decided to try an Acai supplement along with a colon cleanse to see if she lost weight. In the article, she reports to be with her results weekly, and inside the end, she lost over 28 pounds in 30 days! The article also contains a lot of positive reports using their company readers who left comments. We were thrilled until we thought we would dig just a little deeper to see more to do with Julia Miller and her network – Health News 7.
Will the Real Julia Miller Please Stand Up?
We used Google to do searching on Julia Miller and Acai and I was shocked at what we found. We found at least 8 different sites with slightly different news names – Health News 6, News Health 9, New 7 Health, etc. They all had an identical report from Julia Miller – plus a picture of Julia Miller. Here is the amazing thing – every picture of Julia Miller is unique! We are not talking a little difference, in a photo she’s blond with blue eyes – inside the next, she has brown hair, brown eyes leading to a decade younger. No way Acai could do this!
It was starting to become clear that this health reporter was just different stock photos rather than a reporter in any way. It also was becoming clear that the news sites were not news sites whatsoever. We felt we had been getting near the truth about this story, we just needed to dig a little deeper.
